Winter Fashion Trends of 2019

Winter fashion is some of my favorite fashion… and along with this, I am a huge advocate for online shopping! Although I know I have a shopping problem (thanks, mom), I have an even bigger jacket problem. I believe one can never have too many jackets! They are really the cutest part of a winter outfit (besides your purse and shoes), but seriously… winter fashion is my favorite. Here are some of my favorite things if you want to treat yourself for no reason, just like I do every day! ;)

Puffer Jackets

Puffer jackets are the way to my heart, really. You can pair them with any outfit for comfort AND fashion, plus it can usually bring in a pop of color! I love pairing them with a turtle neck, cute belt, jeans and booties.

Shearling Coats

I love the edgy-ness of these moto coats. I honestly didn’t know what to call these coats, but on one of my shopping websites they called them '“shearling”. I’m talking about the coats with a suede or leather outside with a super cute collar, and even sometimes a little belted bottom. Anyway, here are some of my favorite ones to spice up any outfit!

Faux Fur

Faux fur is such a cute winter trend, and so on brand with the “it’s cold out, but I’m cute” look. You can make any outfit look like you’re actually trying with throwing on a cute little faux fur coat to top it off! Plus, they are super cute for holiday parties and NYE outfits without ruining your whole outfit!

Turtle Necks

Turtle necks are the glue of winter. Don’t know how to layer your outfits - turtle necks for sure. Things are looking ugly under your jacket? Turtle neck. You want to look dressier, but don’t have accessories to do so? Turtle neck. Want your outfit to look more sleek? Turtle neck. Even wear that high pony with your turtle neck, throw some hoops or statement earrings on and with a little lipstick, you look like you planned that cute outfit weeks before.

Big Boots

Big boots are my love language and they will never let you down. One time at the gym, I was wearing my platform docs and a man came up to me and said “WOW, your boots are so BIG!” and walked away. Honestly, I’m going to take that as a compliment and say thanks random man, for that sweet little compliment that you noticed my boots. Wear your big-a$$ boots and own it - I love them with any/all winter outfits!

Leather

Leather in general just looks so cool. You can “dress-up” any outfit with leather or faux-leather since it looks so sleek! We are back on the moto jacket trend with my first favorite below, but along with that style I love anything leather - blazers, lighter jackets, pants, boots… everything.

The Every-day Peacoat

Look sleek and sophisticated - just throw a peacoat on to finish off your outfit! I feel like everyone needs some type of peacoat, duster or trench coat for the winter to make your look a little more classy. They are super cute paired with a high-neck sweater and some cute boots!
