A Brunch Guide to Minneapolis

I feel like everyone wants to go somewhere cute for brunch, but when the time comes around, you have the places that you’re comfortable with and your “fall-back” places. SO - Next time you’re in a pinch looking for a great brunch spot in Minneapolis, try something out on this list! I take food pretty seriously from the taste to the overall experience, and this is my general list of the best places that I can think of in the Minneapolis area. Hope you like!

Martina

Great atmosphere and the best tasting food. It feels a little more upscale - somewhere that would great to meet up with friends or even a date spot. I think it’s one of the cutest places with some of the best food I’ve had… This one is a must!

Benedict’s

The cutest place in downtown Wayzata! Pineapple logo, great decor and you can walk around the nearby stores after. I would recommend ordering the monkey bread and s’mores pancakes (pictured), but you really can’t go wrong!

Nolos

Cute, modern and clean decor - located in North Loop. If you go here, you need to order the breakfast fried rice (pictured) - it’s delicious!

Birchwood Cafe

Fresh, farm to table and locally grown. My favorite is the savory waffle!

Eggy’s

Great food and atmosphere! Sometimes a long wait since it’s smaller, so I would try to avoid peak times. Eggy’s also has a really pretty sign on the ceiling right when you walk in!

Hen House Eatery

Feels more like a diner with a yummy bakery and always has great service. They have gluten free options, too!

The Kenwood

A cute neighborhood spot and great food! Decor is rustic, but classy, and quite charming.

Eat Street Social

Cute outdoor area if it’s nice out! Great brunch food and lots of yummy drinks.

The Copper Hen

Such a cute restaurant - like a rustic, farmhouse brunch. Love their drinks and desserts - try their boozy cakes!

Bacon Social House

The environment is lively and upbeat, and of course it’s all about bacon!

The Lowry

A great Uptown brunch spot that has everything! A great selection for any type of bruncher.

The Lynhall

A beautifully decorated “food-hall” that’s a great place to meet friends and eat great food. The space is really inviting and I feel like I could sit in there for hours.

French Meadow

Every time I go to French Meadow I am not disappointed! I love their menus for breakfast/lunch because they are full of healthy, organic and fresh options. They are great at any dietary restrictions as well!

Tilia

A tiny cute restaurant - The feel of the restaurant is super cute, home-y and casual. The food is amazing!

The Freehouse

A go-to spot in North Loop that’s in the middle of everything. The place is always lively with a menu that has something for everyone. Always fun here!

Hazels Northeast

The food here is hearty and will not disappoint!

Esker Grove

Located in the Walker Art Center - this is a delicious spot for brunch! It’s also a great spot so you can spend some time in the museum as well and visit the most perfect little gift shop!

Penny’s

This is a more coffee shop vibe, but great to meet your friends at! It’s a beautiful building (the one downtown located on Washington) with big windows and a lot of natural light. Their avo-toast is great - I appreciate the fact that they don’t mess around with their avocado portion!

And that’s all for now! I didn’t want to get too far into the coffee shop scene, so that blog post will come in a bit! Let me know if you think, or if I forgot any! :)

Happy Brunching!
